PC Security- An Alarming Issue
After a month of handwork and sleepless nights, you finish your project report. Obviously, it is the most important thing for you but the next moment it isn’t there! Your computer is hacked! It wasn’t secured in the first place? It is a very common mistake people commit, they don’t keep a check on PC security.
Some of us don’t think PC Security is an important issue but you know what? It is really an important and concerning issue. And now that the hackers are becoming smarter day by day, you should too. You just can’t let anyone steal your project or any sensitive information in a minute! Everyone out there must know about PC security. What is it? Why is it needed and how can you provide security to your PC?

So the first question is, “what is PC security”? Now to answer this here is a small definition that says PC security or you can call it cybersecurity are the technologies used for keeping PCs, laptops, and other personal devices on a network safe. It deals with private as well as public networks. In order to protect your PC from all the malicious attacks and damage, you need to start working on it from now.
Now the second question, “why PC security is important?” It is critically important to have PC security because:
It provides protection to organizations and individuals from data breaches/
Provides data confidentiality and secure access.
The data security of digital assets like servers, laptops, desktops, and networks is ensured.
It mainly secured data during the transmission process.
Any system can become a target for hackers because of its vulnerabilities. There are three main ingredients or factors of vulnerability.
Flaw in system
Access of the attacker to the flaw
Hacker exploiting that flaw.
These vulnerabilities are also called attack surfaces which by the name, clearly states that this is making way for the hackers to attack. There are many ways for hackers to attack like data breaching, spoofing, eavesdropping, back doors, denial of service attack, tampering, and many more.
